European Urban Conservation MSc Student Fieldtrip

Earth Construction Workshop at Logie Schoolhouse

European Urban Conservation students attended a very enjoyable workshop. The National Trust for Scotland's Little Houses Improvement Scheme provided a series of public workshops on Scotland's earth-built heritage.
Activities included lectures held at the House of Dun and an earth building workshop and site tour Logie Schoolhouse in Angus.

The morning sessions on Scotland's earth building heritage and The conservation of earth buildings were led by Tom Morton of Arc Arcitecture whose practice is at the forefront of earth building technologies, conservation, and ecological design. Afternoon sessions were lead by Becky Little of Little and Davie Construction who specialise in traditional building craft skills.
