Crown buildings
- all buildings managed by the Secretary of State. Includes courthouses, military
establishments, all government offices, etc. Such buildings are exempt from the need to apply for
listed building consent, instead, a non - statutory consultative
procedure is in place. Health service
and university buildings no longer enjoy crown immunity, an indicator of the move to abolish it.
