Feu
- a piece of land on which feu duty is required to be paid. The feu duty is an annual payment,
for the right to use a piece of land. The person receiving the payment is the feudal superior.
Frequently seen as a tiresome burdon, it can sometimes introduce quite sensitive control, where the consent of the feudal superior
has to be sought for certain types of alterations.
