Gypsum plaster
- is basically, calcium sulphate, the raw material for fine
plaster, used for
finishing the interior surfaces (walls and ceilings) of a building, which sets rapidly on addition of
water. Most gypsum is mined, but it is also available as an industrial by-product.
Gypsum plaster is not suitable for exterior use but does have good fire retardant properties.
