- inaugeral conference held in 1973, drew together representitives from a number of countries
with experience in industrial conservation. Conference was established on the basis that relatively
little was being done to secure the future of the industrial heritage, and TICCIH set itself the
challenge of rectifying the situation. TICCIH continues to organise conferences both at international
and national level, and liases with
ICOMOS and other bodies on matters relating to the industrial heritage.
It is now literally a worldwide organisation with currently, representitives from 52 nations.
