Listed building consent

- a consent required for any work which would effect the character of a listed building. This does not remove the need to apply for planning consent if required. The need to obtain LBC does not extend to many churches in use,(see ecclesiastical exemption), Crown buildings, Ancient Monuments and Royal Peculiars. LBC is required for listed buildings in enterprise zones, simplified planning zones and port areas - areas immune from most planning controls.
