Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990
The Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act (Scotland) 1997

- this Act, in force in England and Wales is a consolidation act which brings together all provisions relating to listed buildings and conservation areas. Consolidation followed in Scotland much later with The Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act (Scotland) 1997. The only significant difference between the two is that the English legislation offers a Certificate of Immunity from Listing, which the Scottish Act does not.
