Victorian
- the period of the reign of Queen Victoria (1837 to 1901), and the styles of
architecture and design which prevailed during that time. Characterised not so much by a style
but by the way past styles were adapted, the use of new materials such as glass and
cast iron, and
building types eg stations, town halls and the suburban villa.
